Electric transfer carts are widely adopted in industrial workshops, steel plants, foundries, shipyards and heavy material handling lines to move moulds, steel coils, castings, finished components and other bulky heavy goods. Among all available power options for these handling vehicles, lithium battery has become the preferred solution, gradually replacing traditional lead-acid batteries. It delivers outstanding, consistent performance for heavy-duty indoor and outdoor transfer applications and matches the requirements of multi-shift intelligent production.

High Energy Density
Lithium battery features much higher energy density than lead-acid battery. Under the same rated capacity, a lithium battery pack occupies far smaller installation space and weighs significantly lighter. This is a key practical benefit for electric transfer carts. It saves valuable under-platform space and reduces the dead weight of the cart itself. The saved space can be reserved for optional configurations such as hydraulic lifting units, safety scanners and electrical control cabinets. Meanwhile, reduced self-weight helps the cart reserve more of its rated payload capacity for actual cargos instead of carrying the heavy battery. It also lowers continuous wear on polyurethane wheels, drive axles and running gear, extending the service life of the cart's mechanical parts.
Fast Charging and Opportunity Charging
Lithium battery supports fast charging and opportunity charging. Operators do not need to arrange dedicated overnight charging or prepare spare battery packs for swap. The battery can be safely topped up during short work breaks, lunch hours or shift handover intervals without damaging the battery cells. This flexible charging mode greatly improves equipment utilization rate. For multi-shift production workshops running two or three shifts per day, this function effectively avoids long downtime caused by slow charging cycles of lead-acid batteries. The cart can stay available for material transportation throughout the whole working day, which directly lifts the turnover efficiency of workshop internal logistics.

Long Service Life
The cycle life of industrial lithium battery is far longer than lead-acid battery. A quality lithium iron phosphate battery can reach thousands of charge-discharge cycles under standard industrial working conditions. With proper use and reasonable charge management, the battery working life can be 3 to 5 times that of lead-acid battery. Although the upfront investment of lithium battery is higher, the total cost of ownership over the whole service period is much lower. Users can save repeated expenses on battery replacement, reduce production losses brought by battery aging failures, and enjoy stable power supply for years, making it a cost-effective long-term investment for manufacturing enterprises.
Low Maintenance
Lithium battery is maintenance-free for daily operation. It does not require regular electrolyte inspection, distilled water addition, equalization charging or frequent cleaning of corroded acid terminals. There is no risk of acid leakage or acid mist volatilization, which keeps the cart frame, workshop floor and workpieces clean and safe. This cuts down repetitive daily inspection labor for maintenance teams. It also reduces unexpected equipment failures caused by neglected battery maintenance, such as terminal corrosion, battery bulging and sudden power loss. It is especially suitable for precision processing workshops and clean production areas with strict environmental requirements.
