Transferring heavy transformers and their core components (such as iron cores, active parts, and oil tanks) between workstations is a high-risk, challenging task during transformer manufacturing, assembly, testing, and the maintenance of large-scale grid equipment. Moving finished transformers from the workshop to storage using standard overhead cranes is not only restricted to a single workshop but also poses safety risks. The DWP series transformer transfer cart is designed specifically for the characteristics of these loads, ensuring smooth and safe transport.

This project involved a custom-built 10-ton trackless transfer cart for a client. Initially, the client used a combination of overhead cranes and trailers: a crane would load the transformer onto a trailer, which was then towed to the storage workshop by other equipment. This process was cumbersome, inefficient, and prone to damaging transformer components. Seeking to resolve these issues, the client contacted us. Our experienced engineers promptly provided a detailed technical proposal and drawings; after two weeks of consultation, the design for this 10-ton trackless transfer cart was finalized.

Although our price was not the lowest, the client recognized the value of our service and product presentation, concluding that we were the right partner for business, and ultimately chose us over the competition.

Questions from a transformer factory:
1. Are there specific requirements for the floor when using the transformer transfer cart?
It operates safely and smoothly on any level surface free of potholes or loose gravel.
2. Can the equipment maneuver in a workshop with limited space?
It features a small turning radius; the omnidirectional transfer cart can also move laterally, making it ideal for navigating tight spaces. It supports 360-degree rotation and sideways movement.
3. Can I add a wireless remote control?
Yes; we also support operation via a wired remote control.

What safety features does the transformer transfer cart have?
1. Customized platform dimensions based on the transformer's size and center of gravity, equipped with positioning stops or safety securing devices.
2. Insulation and anti-static protection: For testing and varnish-dipping workshops, wheels can be made of anti-static materials, and the control system includes shielding against radiation and electromagnetic interference.
3. Dual control (wireless remote and handheld pendant): Operators can stay at a safe distance from the heavy load and use the wireless remote to precisely control the equipment's movement (forward/backward) and steering from a safe vantage point.
4. Safety obstacle avoidance system: Standard features include audible and visual alarms, laser safety scanners, and mechanical anti-collision bumpers; the cart automatically slows down and stops upon detecting people or obstacles.
