To address this problem, a customer selected our battery transfer cart.
This customer, a manufacturer of large mechanical components, regularly transports circular metal structures exceeding two meters in diameter and weighing nearly 20 tons. Previously, the factory used a crane to lift these components from the workshop to designated workstations. This operation was not only cumbersome but also required the coordination of multiple workers. Transporting these components within the workshop was often subject to space constraints, wasting manpower and time, and resulting in wasted resources. Therefore, during budget preparation at the beginning of the year, the customer decided to introduce this highly efficient heavy material transport equipment.
After fully understanding the customer's production environment, we recommended a 20-ton electric rail-mounted transfer cart. This vehicle features a high-strength steel chassis and a grid-like layout, making the platform more durable and capable of handling heavy loads.
This circular metal structure needs to be transported from one workshop to another along a fixed route, with 8-10 round trips per day. Therefore, we recommended a rail-mounted transfer system powered by lead-acid batteries, which can provide 2-3 days of operation on a single charge. The batteries are removable, and if the customer's workload increases over time, we will upgrade to lithium batteries or add an additional battery pack.
Customer feedback on this electric transfer cart has been excellent. Transport operations that previously required two cranes and four workers can now be completed by just one or two remote operators, increasing handling efficiency by over 60%. The smooth operation and precise positioning of the transfer cart significantly reduce the risk of collisions and wear on workpieces during transport.
