This port charging reel transportation project began with the client's customized requirement for a special trackless transfer cart-designed specifically for their port area to carry two charging reels weighing 5 tons and 3 tons respectively. The vehicle connects one end to an electrical source and the other end to a vessel for shore power supply. This unique working scenario placed exceptionally high demands on the equipment's stability and adaptability.

The initial communication process was challenging. The client not only clarified basic transport needs but also provide detailed automation requirements:

Real-time monitoring of the transfer cart's operating speed and status information was required. The reels needed to automatically extend and retract, and the cart's speed-or the reel's speed-had to adjust in coordination with the retraction and extension rhythm. All operations for both the vehicle and the reels needed to be integrated into one unified remote control.

Due to the narrow body of the transfer vehicle and the influence of strong wind conditions, the platform was designed with a recessed structure to reduce overall height and improve stability.

The project schedule was extremely tight, requiring not only equipment commissioning and installation but also careful attention to detail-factors that directly impacted the overall timeline.

The combination of these requirements demanded deep integration between the mechanical structure and the intelligent control system by the technical team.

The battery transfer cart has now successfully arrived at the reel manufacturer's warehouse and is currently being fitted with the reel components. Once installation is complete, it will be shipped to the Netherlands.
